This exam is designed to officially certify the Turkish language proficiency of foreign students who wish to enroll in governmental primary and secondary education institutions in the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus. It measures the language skills of students who have completed our preparatory Turkish course, as well as those who wish to certify their proficiency level without attending a course.

Who Can Apply?

• Students who believe their Turkish language level is sufficient and want to prove their proficiency without attending a course can apply directly.
• Students who have attended the "Turkish for Children" course take this exam at the end of their training.

Exam Details & Passing Conditions

• Exam Fee: $90

• Passing Score: The exam is graded out of 100 points. To be considered successful, a student must achieve a minimum score of 70.

• Exam Format: The exam assesses four core language skills (reading, writing, listening, and speaking). But children who have not yet started the 1st grade will only be tested on listening and speaking skills.

• Fee Refund Policy: Please note that once registration is complete, the exam fee is non-refundable under any circumstances, including withdrawal from the exam.

Step 2: An application form must be filled out in person at our center.

Step 3: The exam fee must be paid to finalize the registration. Payment can be made:

• Online at final.edu.tr/sem
• By credit/debit card at our center
• Via bank transfer

Step 4: Once the form is submitted and payment is confirmed, the student will be assigned to an available exam session. Exams are typically held biweekly.

Results, Certification, and Appeal

• Parents or guardians will be contacted directly with the exam results, typically within 5 business days of the exam date.

• Students who pass will receive an official certificate of achievement from the Final International University Continuing Education Center. Certificates are generally ready for collection within 10 business days.

  • Each certificate includes a unique QR code for online verification and contains the student's name, ID number, exam name, level achieved, and date. It is signed by the Rector and the Center's Director.

• A second copy of a lost certificate can be issued upon written request from a parent or legal guardian for a determined fee.

• A parent or legal guardian may formally appeal an exam result. The appeal must be submitted in writing to the Directorate within 5 (five) business days of the results being announced. An independent commission will review the appeal, and its decision is final.

What if my child fails the exam?
Students who do not pass can pay the fee to retake the exam. However, we strongly recommend they attend our preparatory courses to improve their skills before attempting the exam again.

I lost the certificate. What can I do?
A second copy of a lost certificate can be issued upon written request from a parent or legal guardian for a determined fee. The new copy will be marked as "İkinci Nüsha" (Second Copy).
