To enhance educational opportunities for foreign students, Final International University (FIU) Rector Prof. Dr. Hüseyin Yaratan and Continuing Education Center (CEC) Director Shahab Miri visited schools in Kyrenia, including Osman Nejat Konuk Ortaokulu, Hasan Cafer İlkokulu, Mustafa Çağatay İlkokulu, and Oğuz Veli Ortaokulu.
Their focus was on the Turkish language programs FIU's CEC provides to foreign students prior to their enrollment in government schools. Meeting with principals and vice principals, Prof. Dr. Yaratan and Mr. Miri gathered feedback on the performance of students who had completed these programs. This dialogue with school leadership provided valuable insights into the effectiveness of the pre-registration language training and the subsequent progress of students.
The meetings also explored ways the university and schools could collaborate to advance education in the country. Prof. Dr. Yaratan reiterated FIU's dedication to education, research, and community contribution. "We strive to excel in all these areas," he stated, emphasizing the university's commitment to providing quality education.
Mr. Miri highlighted the CEC's role in preparing foreign students. "Our center equips students with the essential Turkish language skills needed to succeed in their studies before they enter the government school system," he explained. "Our goal is to offer high-quality, affordable education that ensures a smooth transition for these students."
These visits demonstrate FIU's commitment to building strong relationships with local schools and providing foreign students with the tools they need to thrive academically. By offering comprehensive Turkish language programs before registration, FIU plays a crucial role in supporting these students and contributing to a brighter future for the community.
