Why we do this

At FIU CEC, learning connects to life. Our community projects protect our coastline, care for animals, and respond to local needs. They also serve as hands-on service-learning, helping students practice leadership, teamwork, empathy, and civic engagement.

These activities strengthen real-world skills (communication, problem-solving, project management) that support employability. They build meaningful ties between our international campus and the local community and align with our commitment to sustainability and public good.

Partners

We collaborate with local municipalities (belediye), NGOs, schools, shelters, and community groups to ensure our efforts are safe, impactful, and sustainable.

Safety & consent

We brief all volunteers on safety. Please note that photos and videos may be taken during events and shared on our online platforms. Participants under 18 must be accompanied by a parent/guardian.
